SI Drilling Cable Percussion Ltd

Originally, Bob Maclaren started as a seconded man in 1989 with a local Drilling Company. After 6 years Bob started SI Drilling Cable Percussion with 1 drilling unit. Now several years on, SI Drilling has 6 drilling units and from 1 April, 2008 is now a Limited Company.

Equipment and Drilling Capacity

SI Drilling has five Dando 2000’s with the capacity to drill to a maximum depth of 50m using 250mm, 200mm, and 150mm casing. Plus a Dando 3000, which has the capacity to drill to a maximum depth of 80m using 300mm casing.

As SI Drilling has a vast quantity of equipment, it’s possible to have four 4 operational rigs, drilling to 50m using 250mm casing etc. at a time.

All equipment is certificated and maintained to a high standard, and copies of the certificates are available on request.

Drillers

All drillers have NVQ 2 Land Drilling and second men have CSCS. All attend induction and H&S programmes which maybe required for sites, this includes the Olympics and Thames Water.
