Contracts Completed

SI Drilling has successfully completed varying types of drilling and included below are some example contracts.

Felixstowe

Felixstowe was a first for SI Drilling, with drillers working in 3 shifts to provide 24/7 drilling on a platform offshire. Quite a task but successfully completed and with the following feedback from the Customer:- "the drilling crews were conscientious, professional and hard working (just what we needed on a contract of this nature."

Specifications of work:- 8 x 20-30m boreholes with sea depth of upto 20m before drilling commenced. The boreholes were situated approx 100m beyond the sea wall and approx 100m apart, parallel to the dock. The main difficulties were the rough seas and tide levels.

Olympics

SI Drilling was one of the first drilling companies on site in February 2006 when it was still a working industrial area of London.

Specifications of work:- Borehole depths from 5-50m depending on job instructions, these boreholes were to give a indication to the final investigation work required for the demolition of all the factories/unit prior to the construction of the new sports village. One of the latest jobs was for 6 x 40m boreholes finishing in 200mm casing so as 100m installations could be installed to assist with de-contamination of an old chemical works.

Abbey Mills

Abbey Mills, is a water treatment works, which was heavily contaminated from previous industry which was there in the early part of 1900's.

Specifications of work:- numerous boreholes were done from 5-30m to assist in the clean up operation.

Norwich War Memorial Gardens

The upgrading of the Norwich War Memorial by City Hall, this was well publicised as being in a very poor state.

Specifications of work:- 3 x 50m boreholes, with in situ testing were drilled to give stability of the pending renovations.
